Windsor & Oxford, March 2009

March 26, 2009

…we toured Windsor Castle which was absolutely remarkable. Everything is so old! The first thing we saw was this royal doll’s house (I don’t remember who is was a gift from) … It was so huge & every detail was absolutely perfect. It even had working plumbing!

We continued to walk around the castle visiting breathtaking rooms & admiring paintings older than my country. It was, in my opinion, totally work the 15.50! We also saw a changing of the guards up close.

We had lunch (ham & cheese croissants) at a little pastry place down the street, then headed straight to Oxford where we took a walking tour of the colleges…

…and, get this: I had tea at The Eagle & Child [Bird & Baby]!!! I was obviously a little excited.
